Congratulations to BCHPCA Members!
The theme this year is “Discovering Your Voice”. While many in our province have benefited from hospice palliative and end-of-life care, the fact remains that many people facing end of life issues still do not understand what it is, how it can be accessed, or even how it can be of benefit. Focusing on a theme whereby people can share their experiences and the importance of what this type of care means to them will help break down the barriers to understanding and increase capacity at all levels.
The Board and Staff of BCHPCA would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our members, for your support of the work of BCHPCA over the past year and your individual and collective contributions to the advancement of hospice palliative and end-of-life care in BC. It is because of you that more and more people in BC have access to the right care, at the right time, and in the right place.
This month is filled with a lot of activity. For those members who just participated in Hike for Hospice, we hope you had a great day. For those of you who are already registered for the BCHPCA Annual Conference to be held May 14-15 in Surrey we look forward to coming together with you as we continue to share knowledge and strengthen capacity. If you haven’t already, please take the time to go to www.hospicebc.org and register for the conference online.
In closing we encourage each of you, as the month unfolds, to take time to celebrate past achievements as you continue to plan for the future. Together we can make a difference!
